I stayed at Valley View with my husband and children in 2024 and loved the place so much I decided to hire all 3 cottages for my 50th birthday celebrations. It was everything I'd hoped for. The accommodation is just as comfortable in winter with underfloor heating and a high spec ventilation system that keeps the temperature at a perfect level. My brother, sister and their families also loved it. We visited Tarr Steps and had a lovely lunch in the Hartnoll 10 minutes away both of which were lovely experiences. Jill was so thoughtful and made me feel so welcome and special with a happy birthday message written on the chalk board in the parking area, amongst other kind gestures. I do feel this place is very special and I would highly recommend.

Words will not do this place justice! Pictures won't do this place justice. You will have to come and experience this yourself. If you want a quiet getaway, this place is it.

Our stay at Andrew and Jill’s home in Devon was truly amazing. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. The house has such a warm and inviting atmosphere, waking up to those breathtaking views each morning was something else. Sitting on the deck with a coffee, watching the hills roll out in front of us, was the perfect way to slow down and reconnect.
The little touches around the home made it feel cared for and loved, and it was clear that Andrew and Jill put real thought into making their guests feel comfortable. They were kind, responsive, and genuinely wonderful hosts.
This wasn’t just a place to stay - it felt like a retreat. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming of when we can come back.

Stag View is a wonderful place to stay and we felt very lucky to have found and chosen it for our holiday. We loved the beautiful, peaceful view from the fabulous decking area and enjoyed cooking at the hob with a view. The red deer appeared every day for us and the cream tea was delicious. Jill and Andrew are very helpful, friendly hosts and we loved exploring parts of Exmoor, Devon and Somerset.

We absolutely loved the accommodation and would love to return. The adjoining bathroom was extremely useful to share with the children and the views over the valley when we ate our meals were incredible. Jill and Andrew were very responsive and let us know how to reach them should we need anything. We didn’t get to try out the local cuisine at the Stoodleigh Inn so that’s our aim for when we return!

Fabulous little place with stunning views! Everything you need for a comfortable stay with tasteful furnishings and thoughtful touches. Absolutely brilliant hosts who went over and above to make us comfortable and looked after - leaving us delicious scones for arrival, recommending restaurants and providing the use of the ev charger amongst other things. Hiya, Just wanted to say what a wonderful stay we all had at Ramstorland Woodland View. We found our little haven comfortable in all areas and immaculately presented. The flowers and the Cream tea in particular was a lovely and thoughtful gesture. As I’m sure you’ve found with other visitors there are always minor queries when they arrive. Andrew was a model host with his sidekick Winston who is full of life and a delight. We hope to stay with you again…if you’ll have us in the future. Great location for access to Exmoor. Weather could’ve been better… not under your control obs but you promised Deers and we were treated daily with their appearance .. and so many as well.
Thank you both again for making our stay one which we will hold in our hearts forever.

This is like winning the Airbnb lottery, absolutely beautiful.
As long as you are looking for a rural accommodation this one is absolutely perfect.
The homemade scones provided were absolutely delicious too.
Jill was so helpful and happy to help in any way she could.

My partner and I had a really wonderful break at Stag View, Ramstorland Farm Holiday Cottage. Jill and Andrew’s directions made it very easy to find and parking was easy thanks to the designated space outside. The access was flat, which for me was particularly helpful as I have mobility issues. The cottage was beautifully presented and spotlessly clean, and Jill had left freshly baked scones, jam, and cream for us, which was a wonderful surprise, especially as it’s one of my all time favourite foods! The cottage was very welcoming, with lights on ready for our arrival, and after we’d had chance to settle in, Jill and Andrew popped over to say hello. They are the loveliest couple and you can tell they’ve been doing this for years as they instantly made us feel at ease. We stayed at Stag View for three nights, from Friday evening to Monday morning, and all in all we were thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend this gorgeous accommodation and its wonderful owners to everyone.

Ramstorland Cottages are all that the pictures promise and more! They are set in a beautiful location, perfectly situated for exploring north Devon, and are superb for families to be together whilst still having their own ‘space’! They are beautifully presented with everything needed for self catering.
Jill and Andrew were great hosts who were very easy to contact and very responsive!
I know I speak for the rest of my family when I say we would not hesitate to return. We have just had a wonderful week there.
